A therapeutic exercise modality based on Joseph Pilates original concepts and philosophies. While you work with your instructor you will do exercises that are based on a combination of mat, apparatus and equipment.
An initial consultation is a pre-requisite prior to beginning studio work. Each person progresses at a rate suitable to age, gender, body type, previous injuries and pre-existing conditions.
An initial consultation is the basis for developing an individual program. It allows the instructor to observe your body as it performs exercises to fully understand your capability and needs. It also allows time for discussion of any pre-existing conditions, specific health issues and personal exercise goals.
The big bonus of this session is that you will learn the basic Principles of Pilates so that future exercise will be productive.
